As a construction laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as loading and unloading materials, operating heavy machinery, and helping to put up and take down scaffolding. This is a physically demanding job, so you must be in good physical shape and be able to lift heavy objects. You will also need to be able to work long hours in all types of weather conditions. Key Responsibilities

The following areas of focus will be central to your role in this position:

• Assist construction managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects.
• Supervise and train other construction workers.
• Inspect work sites to ensure that they are safe and that all OSHA regulations are being followed.
• Operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes.
• Prepare construction sites for work by clearing debris and setting up cones, barricades, and warning signs.
• Load and unload construction materials and move them to the work site.
• Erect scaffolding and build temporary walls.
• Dig trenches and holes.
• Set forms for poured concrete.
• Place and level asphalt.
• Brush and spray concrete, grout, and other materials on to surfaces.
• Install insulation, drywall, and other finishing materials.
• Clean up work sites after projects are completed.
